I had no idea it has been 6 months since the last post! There has been a lot of change and transitions since June. Tim, Conrad and I moved back in with my parents. We started building our house right before Thanksgiving. Our move in date is mid-March. We are looking forward to it! I will post pictures of the house soon!
We also moved my grandpa to a memory care facility right after Thanksgiving. This has been an extremely difficult transition for everyone in the family. It will take some getting use to, although I often wonder if we will ever get use to it. I am just taking one day and emotion at a time.
Conrad is busy walking, talking, counting, running and being ever so adorable. He is now attending King's Way Learning Center 2 days a week. He is thriving! I am very impressed with their program, and I am a tough critic!!! :) He had his little Christmas program last week. He cried through Jingle Bells and then started crying again when his teacher took his jingle bells away to sing the next song. It was hilarious!
We are finally ready for Christmas! Conrad loves the tree and lights in our room. Every morning he wakes up the first thing he says is "Wights, Twee!" We have to turn them on and talk about the colors.
We are approaching Conrad's 2nd Birthday...I can not believe it!!! WOW!
Speaking of Birthday's...my 30th is right around the corner, oh man! Not sure if I am ready for it, although I must embrace it for I do not have a choice. It is coming whether I like it or not.
I ran my first half marathon on October. I finished in 2 hours 30 minutes. Not bad for my first time. I was just glad I finished! It was hard but very fun. So fun, I am doing another one next month. Feel free to come cheer me on. It's around Vancouver Lake. Lord knows I will need the extra support! Thank goodness for Ipods!!!
Other then that we have just been busy with Conrad, building our house and life. I will post pictures soon. Conrad has gotten BIG!!! Hope all is well with everyone and have a wonderful and safe Holiday season!

Busy, busy, busy
The month of May was full of fun, friends and excitement. Tim and I left Conrad for the first time to go to Bodega Bay for a friends wedding. That was a blast. We were able to see friends from College that some we have not seen for almost 7 years! We all stayed in a big house together. It was great to be able to hang out with them and get to know their husbands.
When we returned we unpacked to repack a bigger suitcase and headed to Hawaii. We went with my parents and had a BLAST!! It was full of great food, wonderful drinks, pool, beaches, swimming, snorkeling, shopping and fishing. We have been back for a week now and I already want to go back! Check out the amazing pictures from this month!

Mans Best Friend

This is Conrad's favorite spot. He loves to stand on the couch and watch the two other dogs behind the house. He likes to talk to them and tell Tim and I what they are up to. Oh, and Cosmo helps him with this very important task! :)

Another First!!
We decided it was finally time to get Conrad's hair cut. This was so much fun! Conrad was such a good boy! He even got to eat a dum-dum. He was very busy trying to see what the woman was doing behind him! He looks like such a big boy now. He got to sit on Tim's lap while his locks were trimmed. Don't worry, I kept the first lock of hair that was cut. What the heck are you supposed to do with it anyway? Check out the pictures of Conrad's first hair cut!!

Top of the Mornin'
And let me tell you Sunday was an early morning. Tim and I got up at 6am to get all geared up for the Shamrock Run. We did the 5k which started at 8:05am. It was cold (44 freakin' degrees!), rainy and very windy. I am surprised I braved the elements and ran. But we both stood in the cold with all the thousands of people waiting for the siren to blare. I think we ran fast just to get home and warm again. :) Conrad got to stay home and play with Grandma Susan. Tim and I were home by 9:30am and napping by 11:00am!!! It was great and we had a lot of fun doing it. Can't wait for next year! Next run, girlfriends half marathon in October....I have a lot of work ahead of me!
Sorry I don't have any pictures for you. I had no place to put it. Imagine me looking like a drowned rat! :)

Look who's ONE!!!
I can not believe it! Conrad is one! He did great at his Birthday Party. He watched as everyone sang to him. I helped him blow out the candle and he loved the frosting on the cake. He had a great time hanging out with his family and friends. Check out all the pictures. Conrad also really enjoyed the balloons the next day.
At the end of the slide you can see Conrad has a huge interest in Cosmos's food. So much that he dumped it all over the floor....lovely! :)

Who is Supervising?????
Well, that would be me. Leave it to the CPS worker to be too busy washing dishes from dinner to notice her child climbing in the dishwaser and playing with the dirty dishes! WOW! I did not see this one coming! Tim caught it all on camera. You can actually see Conrad's thought process through the pictures. He cracks me up and is finding new adventures everyday. Only 1 more day until Conrad is 1!!!!
P.S. I found a great tasty new dish. Spinach and Artichoke Macaroni and Cheese. I found it on Rachael Ray's web-site. It is great. May I recommend adding some ham or chicken (which ever you prefer). Check it out. http://www.rachaelray.com/recipe.php?recipe_id=2542

What's been going on?

I celebrated my 29th Birthday today. I can not believe I am in my VERY late 20ies. What a wonderful 29 years it has been! Not to mention the last year!
Conrad's first Birthday is quickly coming upon us. I am busy pre-paring for this event. It will be a blast!
Here are some silly pictures of Conrad. He decided to not use his hands and eat his green beans with just his face. And here are some pictures of Conrad getting his teeth brushed. Tim and were laughing so hard. He sort of looks like Mr. Ed. I just kept singing, "A horse is a horse, of course, of course." I had to share these! Have a great week everyone! Stay tuned for Conrad's first Birthday party!!!

Bragging Rights
Yep, I have bragging rights. Last week we got the news that Uncle Chris and Aunt Kelly are going to be parents!!!! They are adopting a baby girl from China. The way they broke the news was priceless! They came over with a gift for Conrad (which is not unusual) and two silver Chinese take out boxes. They casually put them on the counter and sat down. I made the statement, you know you do not have to bring gifts every time you come over! And with that they said, Oh just open it. So Tim and I opened the take out boxes and to our surprise there were fortune cookies in them. Tim about smashed his to pieces. The fortune stated, "A little girl from China will soon be joining our family!" We were speechless!!!!!!! That doesn't often happen to me! We were so excited we both just stood there letting the news sink in. Can you believe it?!?
You have to check out this web site, http://www.chinesechildren.org We are looking forward to Taryn Leeann's arrival! Congratulations Uncle Chris and Aunt Kelly!!!!

Catching up

Like everyone else, I too, am playing catch up. The last two weeks have been crazy, with who knows what. In my defense I have been sick with a cold. Anyway, let me get you all caught up. Here is Tim, Conrad and Cosmo lounging out on a Saturday morning. Conrad is getting his 12 month molars. You can tell he is a little under the weather.
Last weekend we finally celebrated Christmas with the Pfeifer side.
Uncle Chris was in town so we went to Tim's aunt's for a little celebration. Conrad loved opening his packages and got the bow stuck on his finger. It was funny to watch him figure out that it was not coming off. Uncle Chris sported a little Wii Guitar Hero. He was rocking out! Reminded me of him rocking out to the air guitar when we were in Mexico a couple of years ago. Conrad found a huge basketball and rolled it around all evening. Tim's aunt was even kind enough to let us have it! Conrad has not stopped playing with it since we brought it home!!

Happy New Year!
This New Year's Eve we headed to the Fisher's to ring in the new year with some pizza, beer, and LOTS of toys! It was great, I thought we would only be able to stay until 7:00 (Conrad and Jack's bed time) but both Conrad and Jack stayed up until 9:45!! As usual they played their little bums off, then got their bums washed and jammies on. Check out their matching P.J.'s. And look how curly Conrad's hair is!!!!
On Friday we went up to Anderson Island. Conrad has not been there since he discovered crawling. Boy was he busy! There was so much to explore and look at. Too bad it was not nice enough to explore the outdoors. Tim and my dad caught some frost bite and squid. Other then that, it was relaxing (when Conrad was sleeping) and nice to get a change of scenery. Now back to reality!
Check out these pictures. Conrad is playing with Jack's Aunt Megan, Conrad and Cosmo are looking out the window at home and on the Ferry, also Conrad and Cosmo hanging out in the pack and play. That one makes me laugh!
